This kit is designed to be worked with the instructions contained in Japanese Motifs in Stumpwork & Goldwork (Page 82)
This goldwork design was inspired by one of the many Japanese family crests featuring the Japanese ginger plant, myoga ginger – the edible flower buds and flavourful shoots make it a popular culinary plant. Using traditional goldwork techniques, and a variety of gold metallic threads, silk thread and leather, these small motifs were embroidered onto a piece of old kimono silk. The finished panel may be made into a brooch.
This goldwork embroidery kit contains all materials required to work this project.
