This kit is designed to be worked with the instructions contained in Japanese Motifs in Stumpwork & Goldwork (Page 64)
This Japanese Family crest, featuring three butterflies, has been worked entirely with gold metallic threads, gold kid and beads, using traditional goldwork techniques. Three is considered to be a lucky number in Japan – it represents mind, body and spirit, as well as
past, present and future. The finished piece would look stunning as a brooch, especially if worked on a dark background.
This goldwork embroidery kit contains all materials required to work this project.
