This kit is designed to be worked with the instructions contained in Japanese Motifs in Stumpwork & Goldwork (Page 156)
A family crest showing a stylized morning glory plant was the inspiration for this small circular panel. The design features a trumpet-shaped purple flower with wired detached petals, a padded embroidered bud, detached leaves and wrapped-wire tendrils, and a grasshopper, with gauzy detached wings and wrapped-wire legs, all worked on a background of vintage kimono silk.
This stumpwork embroidery kit contains all materials required to work this project.
