Two design options are offered for this tiny silk Pincushion or Decoration.

Worked on ivory or bronze silk dupion, one design features a branch of raised, beaded boysenberries, wrapped beaded red currants, and a tiny glass ladybird. In the second version, the tiny ladybird is embroidered in stumpwork, with raised detached wings.

The finished embroidery may be inserted into half a walnut shell to make a small pincushion, or, attach a loop of narrow ribbon or cord and hang it on your Christmas tree.

This embroidery kit is designed to be worked with the diagrams and instructions contained in STUMPWORK EMBROIDERY Designs and Projects (page 155) by Jane Nicholas or THE COMPLETE BOOK OF STUMPWORK EMBROIDERY (page 357) by Jane Nicholas or INSPIRATIONS magazine, Issue No.128, 2025.
