Garland of Spring Flowers Class

This pretty embroidered panel was inspired by the flowers of the spring garden and Shakespeare's tragic Ophelia. Worked on a background of ivory silk duchess satin in stumpwork and surface embroidery, this garland features the Wild Pansy, Viola tricolor, with wired detached petals, beaded Forget-me-nots, Myosotis arvensis, raised Snowdrops, Galanthus nivalis, with wrapped stems, beaded calyx and detached petals, padded English Daisies, Bellis perennis, embroidered with detached chain stitches and tiny bees.
