Saturday 16th November 2019
10.30 am – 12.30 pm, Bowral Uniting Church Hall
At the end of 2018 we had a display of work and morning tea which was much enjoyed by all. A “challenge” for 2019 was discussed and agreed upon by all present. The challenge is to work a design, in any technique requiring the use of a needle, inspired by the “box”:
- “Box” – a cube or six-sided shape, or six “sides” presented in a flat format (deconstructed box).
- It could be a box housing some stitching, or covered in stitching, or some stitching that was related to six “sides” – a “book” perhaps?
- No size was specified – we didn’t want to be too prescriptive! Up to your imagination to think of something “inside or outside the box” :-)
You are invited to display your response to this challenge, whether finished or as a “work in progress”, at a morning tea to be held in the Uniting Church Hall on Saturday 16th November. Everyone is invited, whether you have participated in the challenge or not – it will be a great opportunity to catch up with old friends, and to discuss our workshop program for 2020.
There is a charge of $5 for this event to help cover the hire of the hall. Please RSVP, via email, to firstname.lastname@example.org, to give us an idea of numbers for catering. We look forward to seeing you in November.
Due John’s ill-health (he is still battling on!), we have not run classes in 2019, but we hope to resume our usual workshop program in 2020.
